About Damien
Damien began his legal career in the early 1980’s and has extensive litigation experience gained over more than 15 years, acting for plaintiffs and defendants, regularly appearing in all courts and negotiating extensively over a broad practice base.
Damien was called to the Bar in 2019 and became a qualified mediator in 2022.
Damien brings a wealth of human experience to his role as Mediator. He practices as a Barrister, Mediator and International Airline Pilot.
Damien’s experience focusses on inclusiveness, respect and empathy with an emphasis on humility and understanding. He demonstrates this with his ability to quickly understand the issues and an ability to listen.
Damien is Resolution Institute trained and advises/negotiates across a broad practice area at the Bar. He also operates within a multi-crew airline environment where threats and errors are identified and mitigated in a dynamic high-stakes operational context.
Damien’s expertise lies in technical aviation matters and litigated disputes but his practice area is diverse.
The Mediation delivery can be facilitative or shuttle depending on the nature of the dispute.
Damien brings a conciliatory approach to his practice as a Barrister and as a Mediator, with an emphasis on justice between parties.
